This IWD I'm shining a spotlight on the progress of economic freedom and independence for women and girls around the world by hosting #MyIWDLunch.

All funds raised will go towards UN Women programs that function in over 100 countries working to accelerate gender equality.

Please support my fundraising efforts and I hope you will join me at my lunch.

If we are to ever break the cycle of inequality, we must invest in women and girls. #CountHerIn

Art By Keely - International Women's Day 2024 - auction

Tuesday 27th Feb

For those who don't know me, I am an artist. A daughter. A sister. An aunty. A friend. A challenger of norms. A lover of life and all that it offers. I have a unique communication style and I enjoy expressing myself creatively with colour. Art is a time and a place of mindfulness, where I can be present with my thoughts, be alone with my dreams. I can be a voice for myself. When words are not possible, through the colour and material choices I make, I am sharing with the people around me, my feelings, my needs and desires, my worries and concerns and my joys too.

This International Womens Day 8 March I'm helping the progress of economic freedom and independence for women and girls around the world by auctioning my artwork and donating proceeds of funds raised towards UN Women programs that function in over 100 countries working to accelerate gender equality.

My Acrylic pour paintings are bright and bold with lots of expression, movement and liveliness. When you bid on my art, you are helping to support my cause to help empower other women and girls around the world through womens programs that support them in gaining economic freedom and independence through their own means. You also get the unique opportunity to own my original art works - beautiful acrylic pour paintings to enjoy as a reminder of your contribution and the difference you make. If we are to ever break the cycle of inequality, we must invest in women and girls. #CountHerIn

My fundraising goal for this cause is $1700 AUD. Please support my fundraising efforts by participating in my silent auction. I hope you will join me in person at #MyIWDLunch in Penrith NSW where my paintings will be on show and winning bidders will be announced at the conclusion of the auction at 1.00pm Friday 8 March 2024.

10% of the proceeds from auction sales will be donated here:

Halfway There: Celebrating Over $500 Raised for UN Women Australia

Thursday 22nd Feb
Title: Halfway There: Celebrating Over $500 Raised for UN Women Australia

Introduction:
As we embark on our journey to support UN Women Australia, I am thrilled to announce that we have reached a significant milestone: we are halfway to our goal, with over $500 raised! This achievement is a testament to the generosity and dedication of our community, and I am incredibly grateful for each and every contribution that has brought us this far.

Reflecting on the Journey:
When we set out to support UN Women Australia, we knew that our mission was ambitious. We aimed not only to raise funds but also to raise awareness about the vital work that UN Women does to promote gender equality and empower women and girls worldwide. Along the way, we have been inspired by stories of resilience, courage, and hope, driving us forward even in the face of challenges.

The Impact of our Contributions:
With over $500 raised, we have already made a tangible difference in the lives of women and girls around the world. These funds will support UN Women's programs and initiatives, providing access to education, healthcare, economic opportunities, and much more. Every dollar donated brings us one step closer to creating a more equitable and just world for all.

Celebrating Our Supporters:
I want to take this moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported our cause. Whether you donated, shared our campaign, or simply offered words of encouragement, your contribution has made a difference. Together, we are building a community dedicated to promoting gender equality and fostering positive change.

Looking Ahead:
As we celebrate this milestone, let us also look ahead with renewed determination and commitment. There is still much work to be done, and our journey is far from over. With your continued support, I am confident that we will reach our goal and make an even greater impact in the months and years to come.

Conclusion:
Reaching halfway and surpassing the $500 mark in support of UN Women Australia is a cause for celebration, but it is also a reminder of the power of collective action. Together, we have shown that when we come together with a shared purpose, we can create real change in the world. Thank you for being part of this journey, and let us continue to work together towards a future where every woman and girl can thrive.
